CNC Milling
With Stegman Tool's 4th axis technology and multiple milling machining centers are capable of holding very tight tolerances and performing at very high speeds, we can assure the utmost accuracy while still performing to a very tight time frame. Our Milling Centers are also capable of performing many operations in one set-up. By using 4th axis technology, we can manufacture multiple operations in one set-up while our competitors may have many set-ups and tear downs to complete these multiple operations.
CNC Turning
CNC turning at Stegman Tool is capable of completing our customers' products from start to finish. With 5th axis turning cells on the plant floor, we are able to take a piece of raw material, insert it into the machining cell, and when the machine cycle is complete, our customers' have a finished product. Our turning cells have the capability to turn and mill all in the same set up. This technology allows us to give our customers the most accurate machined parts, with little tear down and set-ups involved.
Wire EDM
Stegman Tool can EDM some of today's hardest materials and complicated tolerances with our 5-Axis Wire EDM. Any alloy, tool steel, super alloy, or aluminums can be burned to drawing specifications regardless of hardness. With a 20° rotating head axis we can also perform some of the hardest form angles per specification.
Grinding
Stegman Tool is equipped with every type of grinding application to satisfy all of our customers grinding needs. We can grind surfaces, IDs and ODs to hold concentricity, jig grinding of holes to hold location and tolerance, and honning to hold location on small tight tolerance IDs.
Welding & Fabrication
Stegman Tool can fabricate a variety of steel structures, machine stands, and bases for any purpose. We can fabricate off-line stations for manual assemblies or tear downs, special work holding fixtures, end of arm robot tooling, and a wide variety of custom made carts, work stations, or any place our customer needs to complete a certain task with a desired result.
Gear Hobbing, Shaving, and Shaping
For today's gear manufacturing applications, Stegman Tool has align itself with various gear manufacturing techniques to suit all our customer's needs. Stegman Tool can hob, shave, or shape helical, spur, and worm gears with our gear cutting equipment. We can hob and shave up to 30" and shape up to a 5" long spline.
Production Runs
Stegman Tool has integrated machinery that can perform many operations that would usually take many machines. By having this equipment, the ability to develop our own work holding fixtures, and the knowledge to develop our own cutting tool applications we can produce your production runs on time every time. Stegman Tool will also inventory your production parts and offer emergency delivery.
